Overview

Our highly experienced, professionally qualified consultancy team advises on portfolio performance, options appraisal, stock rationalisation and transaction management across both new-build and stabilised mature housing portfolios of all tenure types.

We provide bespoke services tailored to our clients’ specific strategic objectives. Our role typically includes investment and stock rationalisation advice, portfolio evaluation, marketing strategy advice, business case development, identification of potential acquirers from our extensive network of market participants, and project management of acquisitions, disposals and swaps through to successful completion.

In addition, FFT offers broader consultancy and advisory services to landlords and investors, identifying and delivering strategic growth opportunities. We have advised on the establishment of innovative public-private sector strategic partnerships and support clients’ internal teams through training and practical assistance, including the development of internal processes and procedures, toolkits and performance appraisal models.

We support and partner with a wide range of organisations, including established local authorities, housing associations and charitable registered providers of social housing, as well as the emerging and growing number of for-profit registered providers, institutional investors and joint venture partnerships.

Over the past 15 years, we have acted for more than 50 clients across the sector and supported over 150 transactions, involving the transfer of more than 35,000 tenanted social housing properties with a combined value exceeding £3 billion.

Market activity, and our involvement in it, continues to grow year on year, reflecting increasing investor and housing provider appetite for strategic property asset optimisation.
