Building Safety and Remediation

Clear, proportionate support for complex building safety risks

FFT supports housing providers and public bodies to understand, manage and resolve building safety risks across their portfolios.

We provide independent advice, investigation and remediation support for complex issues including external wall systems, cladding, RAAC, Large Panel System (LPS) buildings and non‑traditional construction. Our work helps clients build a clear, evidence‑based understanding of risk, meet regulatory and governance requirements, and plan proportionate remediation or long‑term strategies. We work across individual buildings and entire portfolios, giving clients the confidence to make informed, defensible decisions that prioritise resident safety and long‑term value.

Independent guidance through complex building safety decisions

Our approach is structured, proportionate and grounded in evidence. We begin by helping clients identify where risk is most likely, using desktop review, asset data and typology profiling to focus effort where it adds value. Where required, we plan and manage targeted inspections and intrusive investigations, coordinating specialist engineers, contractors and access safely within occupied buildings. Findings are consolidated into clear, auditable reports that distinguish confirmed issues from residual uncertainty. We then support clients to develop remediation strategies, options appraisals or interim management plans, aligned with current legislation, guidance and regulator expectations.
