Procurement Consultancy Support

Client: Thrive Homes
Project Dates: March 2024 – June 2025
Location: Thrive Homes Team

Providing procurement consultancy services in relation to A2Dominion’s asset and property maintenance managed services and operational support across approximately 38,000 properties located throughout London and the South of England.

The client

Thrive Homes is a professional landlord providing and managing housing that helps individuals and families secure good-quality and safe homes. They deliver services to customers across the home counties with social and affordable rent, intermediate rent, shared ownership, leasehold and private market rent.

Services provided

The project

Faithorn Farrell Timms provided procurement consultancy support to Thrive Homes during a period of transition within their internal procurement function. This included managing day-to-day procurement operations while offering strategic advice and support across a range of projects and teams.

Our role

FFT provided hands-on support to maintain continuity of procurement services during the transition period. This included developing standardised processes and systems to improve consistency and efficiency, advising Thrive’s teams and undertaking a range of procurement activities.

We reviewed internal governance documentation to ensure compliance and alignment with current requirements. As part of this, we made practical updates to procurement procedures, including improvements to risk identification and management, a review of the suppliers and updates to documentation to better reflect organisational objectives.

The challenges

Following our initial appointment, the scope of the role expanded rapidly, requiring increased capacity and broader support across multiple teams. To maintain service delivery standards, FFT increased resources and adapted quickly to meet evolving client needs.

Added value

In addition to providing procurement support, FFT played a key role in enabling Thrive Homes to rebuild its internal capacity. This included supporting the recruitment, onboarding and development of a new Procurement Lead, ensuring a smooth and sustainable transition back to an in-house function.

The outcome

The project delivered a stable and well-managed transition period for Thrive, with all procurement activities undertaken compliantly. The organisation benefitted from strengthened processes, improved governance and updated documentation, providing a robust foundation for the newly established internal procurement team.

FFT bring professionalism, deep expertise, and a genuinely collaborative approach. They have been a trusted partner throughout both standard and complex projects, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to any organisation looking to enhance its procurement practice.
